Rifle Team
Congratulations goes out to the NHHS Rifle team for placing 4th in the State with a season high best score of 924. Also, congratulations to the team on winning the Central Conference Championship.

Winter 2023-2024

Anyone that may be interested in trying out for the Rifle Team this winter can attend an information meeting after school next Wednesday OCT 25th in Mr. Fiondella's room 203 with Coach Heidenis.  If you have any questions, please email Mr. Heidenis in advance.

 

Tryouts are one day. Sports Package must be loaded to Family ID prior to the try out date. https://www.familyid.com/organizations/north-haven-public-schools

The date is Monday December 4th

  • You cannot get in the Blue Trail van without a completed sports package.
  1. The rifle team meets once a week on Monday’s after school at Blue Trail Range. There will be several mandatory meetings after school during the week as well.  There may be 3 Friday’s (1/5 & 1/19 & 2/23) that we practice because there is no school on those Mondays.  You must be able to attend every practice and meet to be on this team.  No other obligations are acceptable during this meeting time.
  2.      Season: NOVEMBER THROUGH MID MARCH
  3.    We are allowed 10-12 team members. The top shooters on qualification day as well as their overall past performances on the team will determine if they are selected.  It does not matter if they were on the team last year or not….
  • Tryouts will be in 2 of the 4 shooting positions only due to time constants
  • If you make the team, you must stay academically eligible. You will be dismissed from this team if you receive 2 F’s within the season on your report card.
  1. All athletes must have a ride arranged for pick up at BLUE TRAIL on the tryout date. The address for Blue Trail Range is:

 If the athlete is under 18, they must have a parent register them at Blue Trail Range before the start date.  If the shooter is 18 or over, they can complete this info on their own.  Under 18, one parent and shooter info must be in the database.  Registration can be completed by coming to the range 9AM to 4PM Mon thru Fri; Sat and Sun after 1PM.  Address is 316 N. Tips for creating a successful FAMILY ID ACCOUNT:

Here is the how to get on Family ID details to register-please share freely:

 

1-Go to familyid.com

2-Create an account

    a-Search North Haven High School, you will see an info screen with requirements* for the registration when you find NHHS. 

     b-Scroll to the bottom to click next to set up the account

 

Once you submit as complete the nurse will  receive a notification to review for clearance, you will receive an email return from the nurse through FamilyID, once cleared or if there is something missing.

 

*Tip: Two of the requirements include a recent physical-within the last 13 months.

Under Agreements, there are nine different agreement  fields each for both parents and/or guardians AND students to electronically sign 

 

Registrants cannot be cleared for participation unless Family Id registration is accurately completed .

IN ADDITION TO BEING CLEARED IN FAMILY ID, YOU MUST SIGN UP ONLINE AT BLUE TRAIL RANGE BEFORE OUR TRYOUT DATE OF DEC 4TH.
 

Signing up with Blue Trail Range 

Signing up online: 

Go to Blue Trail Ranges website: https://www.bluetrailrange.com/ 

NEW ATHLETES:

On the website it will say “FIRST-TIME VISITORS TO THE RANGE  – Please Create A Profile To Save Time – Click Here” 

  • Click this and it will send you to another browser where you will type in your parent/legal guardians’ email if you are under 18 years of age. If you are older than 18 you can create your own account. 

  • Your Parent will fill out their own information. After filling out their information at the bottom of the page it will say “next”. From there it brings you to the next page where it will say “sign” in red. Click that and from there your parent will fill out more information. 

  • After that they will scroll down and click “Submit” 

  • Then in the top right corner of the screen it will say “add family member”. This is where your (the athletes’) information will go. 

  • After filling out your own information click “finish” 

 

RETURNING ATHLETES:

  • To resign the waiver, go to Blue Trails website and put your parent/legal guardians’ email in that you signed up with last year. From there you will be brought to your profile and in the bottom right-hand corner click “sign”. Just fill out the information on that page and click submit. Then you are all set.
