DIVISION CHAMPS 2024
Wickham Park Invitational 2024 - the girls xcountry team had one of its best showings placing 8th overall out of 18 complete teams and several others in a combined Class of M and MM.  Freshman Kendall Montabana placed 21 out of 165 runners and Emma Pincince and Amalia Morizio placed 44 and 51 respectively.  Brenna Wilson medaled and placed in the top 50 for the JV2 race.

Thank you for attending the Fall Sports Preseason Student-Athlete/Parent Meeting. Below you will find a summary of the topics covered:


  • Student-Athletes 
    • Students FIRST
    • Coaches promote a “school first” philosophy
      • No penalty for staying after for extra help
      • Proper communication with coaches required
  • Academic Eligibility Policy, page 100-101 (NHHS Student Handbook)
    • When a season begins, student-athletes' grades are reviewed.
      • Eligibility for the fall season is based on the final grades for the previous academic year.
        • Students are permitted to start the season with 1 F on their report card.
        • 2 F’s would prevent a student from being a part of the fall season
      • At the end of the first marking period, once grades are finalized, grades are reviewed again.
        • 1 F would place a student on academic probation
        • 2 week academic probation
        • Athlete is still actively involved with team
        • At the conclusion of 2 weeks, all grades must be passing
        • If not, athlete will be removed from the team
  • Attendance Requirements, page 104 (NHHS Student Handbook)
    • Attendance Policy per the student-athlete handbook:
      • Athletes are expected to attend all classes on a daily basis. Tardiness to class or cutting of class will not be tolerated. In addition to school sanctions, disciplinary action by the coach may also be appropriate.
      • Athletes are required to stay in class for the entire period. If an early dismissal is necessary, all teachers will be informed by the school administration.
      • As written in the North Haven Student Handbook:
        • In order to participate in a practice or athletic contest, the athlete must attend a minimum of two (2) blocks of instruction. Study halls are not considered instructional blocks.
